In Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide
Today, Armenians worldwide commemorate the 109th anniversary of the start of the Armenian Genocide that was perpetrated by the Ottoman Empire. On this solemn day of remembrance, we encourage our compatriots and allies worldwide to reflect on the survivor spirit of the Armenian people. It is only by doing and acting that we have been able to survive and emerge on the other side of this crime against our people. Today, we call on our community to remember, reflect, and act. Let us all come together and give to our nation. We each have something to contribute: talent, skills, time, funds — all of these are critical to building up a strong and powerful nation that will prevent such injustices from being carried out against our people. Let us all remember that we are descendants of survivors, and it is up to us to honor their memory in the present day.
