MISSION #19

When Armenians come together to make a positive impact on their community, magical things happen.
Last Sunday, All for Armenia’s humanitarian aid delivery trip was proof of just that. In addition to our regular food and hygiene packages, which we deliver weekly to displaced families from Artsakh, we also distributed traditional Armenian lahmajun donated by Eli’s Lahmajun!
We began in the morning to help Eli prepare 150 freshly cooked lahmajun. Then, our driver Nver (himself an Artsakh refugee) took our on-site volunteer team around Yerevan to deliver food and hygiene items – and of course, delicious lahmajun – to 10 refugee families who are currently in and around the capital.
Pictured here is 7-year old Karine, a refugee from Martuni. In slide three, Karine can be seen enjoying lahmajun donated by Eli, and in slide five, she is pictured holding a teddy bear gifted by one of our volunteers, Dikranuhi. Karine told our team that she wants to study mathematics just like her mom, and proudly showed us how writes her name in Armenian.

Karine lost her uncle to the war and is now displaced in Yerevan with her mother Armine and grandparents. For now, Armine has decided to stay in Armenia so that she can visit her brother’s grave more often at the Եռաբլուր (Yerablur) Military Cemetery.

To help a refugee family like Karine’s, apply for our sponsorship program at https://allforarmenia.org/sponsor or make a donation at allforarmenia.org/donate. Thank you as always to our incredible donors for enabling us to do this important collaborative work – you make this possible!
