MISSION #11

The All for Armenia team left from Yerevan around 8AM to go to Gyumri and Artik.

Our group of volunteers had prepared:
– 40 packages of food
– 40 hygiene kits
– 60 bottles of cooking oil
– 12 boxes of winter clothing

Matthieu, one of our co-founders, and Narek, one of our drivers, first delivered aid to School 41 in Gyumri, which has been transformed into a refugee shelter. They then headed to Artik, a town nearby, to deliver the rest of the aid, which consisted of 15 packages of food, 15 hygiene kits, 20 bottles of cooking oil, and winter clothing.

On top of delivering the aid, this mission was critical as we were able to update the database of all the families that All for Armenia is helping. This database includes refugee families from Artsakh, as well as families from the Shirak region who were directly impacted by the 2020 Artsakh War (either lost a family member or suffered an injury).

Matthieu met with all the refugee families one-by-one at the refugee shelter in Gyumri. The database will be used by the All for Armenia team for the upcoming sponsorship program that will match diasporan families with families affected by the war. Certain families have up to nine children and have been indefinitely displaced due to the war. The All for Armenia team hopes to find a sponsor for the most urgent cases in our database.
